Married April 12, 2003 in the Sydney Australia Temple


Cory and I went on our first date December 6th, 2002. He proposed February 2nd, 2003 and we were married April 12th. So 4 months, engaged for 2 of those months. (I do not have any scanned pictures of our dating, this is on the 'to do' list!!


I wasn't a Bridezilla. I knew what I wanted and with very little time to plan ran with it. It all came together quite well so not need for the Bridezilla moments! The closest I got was when I was dressing in the Temple and my sister who had done all my beadwork on my dress, forgot to put the ribbon that did up the bodice of my dress in and I had to send our best man over to the mall across the road to get a replacement ribbon. It was a freak out moment more than a Bridezilla moment as it was all that held my top on so needless to say I didn't want to go topless!!


Wedding colors were, white and a delusted silvery blue. I loved the color!


We had one bridesmaid and one groomsman


We honeymooned in Sydney. The first night we stayed closer to home in Newcastle at this brand spanking new fancy hotel so we wouldn't have to travel so late but then it was off to The Rocks, Darling Harbour and Circular Quay.

We had our reception at Mansfield House, this gorgeous old mansion in the town that joined Cory's and my towns. Don't have a picture of this one on my computer either...


If I was to redo anything, I think I would have had a photographer at my reception as well. I also would have done my invites differently and possibly a second reception or an open house for the family in the USA when we came over a month later. Logistically this just didn't work and we thought it a needless expense at the time.

Our cake was completely gone! We didn't know where we would be a year from then so we didn't plan on keeping any. My sister came up to me and asked if I had any cake (apart from what Cory and I gave each other) as she had had 4 pieces! It was yum from what I did taste.

Here we are 5 years 10 months later, with a 2 year old son and one in the oven and an 'almost' done degree!

* Sleep through the night without tossing and turning or without a pillow either side of my to support the growing tummy when I toss and turn

* Get up from the couch on first try
* Go the day without making my bed

1 EMBARRASSING MOMENT: The one I can think of off the top of my head is one that Cory just made fun of me for yesterday actually. When we first moved here, I thought Chik-Fil-A was called Chik-A-Fil and I would call it that all the time. Not that embarrassing I guess but makes me feel like an idiot when I think about it.

I love the smells at Christmas - warm homes, scents or cooking; the knowledge I have in the purpose of the season, to reflect on the birth of our Savior; Being with family; the decorations and lights all about; Christmas music; Wrapping present; making Christmas goodies; and of course yummy Christmas food!

This is my boys when Cade was 9 weeks old. I think for memory this was the first time he had fallen asleep awkwardly so we had to get a pic of that!

A Little Amount Me Tag...

What was I doing 10 years ago?
I was 17 and working full-time as a Customer Service Rep at a credit union. My first job interview, my first job. The first grandbaby was born in our family just prior that year and I was loving my little nephew. This was the year I developed my sickness phobia and became a germ-a-phobe. I remember being super social and loving being with friends and shopping up a storm. Girls will be girls!


What are 5 things on my to-do list?
1. Filing bills and papers (I hate paper clutter)
2. Run to the store for some essentials
3. Take a nap and cuddle with Cade
4. Make something yummy for dinner
5. Deep clean my closet

What would I do with a Billion dollars?
Pay off any accumulated debt, give family some $$$ to get set up or help them save or get out of debt. Buy a home. Buy a holiday home. I would get fresh flowers delivered every week, get a personal chef/personal Martha Stewart to teach me all I want to know about cooking and gardening and self reliance with storage etc. invest, invest, invest the rest.

3. I have a guilt conscience when doing a calling or when people ask for time I don't have, I feel bad and think something terrible will happen if I don't do it.
4. I can't stand people touching me little toe - not that that happens much, just grosses me out
