Here are a couple of pics of Cade. He cracks me up at the best of times, although this week has proved particularly difficult as we are trying to transition him to the toddler bed. Last night was probably his best night so far and I only ended up having to go into him at 3am. It has been hard to say the least and I have to say I would not have signed up for this right now other than the fact that he was climbing out of his crib and I feared a broken something (bone, crib, Cade) so it was down with the crib and move in the toddler bed!!

Birthday Girl
Well today I chock up another year. 27 years ago I was born in Launceston, Tasmania Australia. I was (and am) the youngest of 6 and completed my family by a very fast delivery of 1 hour and 20 minutes. I was 8lb 1oz and when I like at photos I look so much chubbier than an 8lb bub. I was jaundice when I was born and back then there were no bili beds so I was sunbaked by a sunny window. I was a Spring baby, (and now that I living on the other side of the world and Autumn baby too!!) Mum said she knew I was her last as it felt like I pulled every organ with me on my way out, gross I know! My poor mum!! I love birthdays. Today wasn't pretty uneventful. We has a rough night with Cade and I was up with him alot in the night. Thankfully I got a lovely sleep-in thanks to my wonderful hubby who took care of a little boy that didn't want to sleep-in!! I got some clothes, so yummy lotions and lots and lots of warm wishes from everyone and to top my day a beautiful bunch of flowers. I LOVE flowers, I personally think they are so under rated. If I was a squillionaire I would have fresh flowers in my home every week... I was spoilt growing up we almost always had fresh flowers in our home as my mum is a wonderful green thumb. Cory has a busy day today, Mondays he is at school until 10pm so tomorrow we will do something special for my birthday I am sure!!

Catch Up...
This month has been an eventful one for our little family. I finally have a chance to sit down and collect my thoughts (and photos)!
My mum came to visit for the month on August and it was SO lovely. We relaxed most of the time when we weren't out and about seeing the sites in Salt Lake and visiting family. It was so nice to have her here. It was just comfort for me, like she had always been here and it was hard to say goodbye that's for sure. She made it home safe and well and was greatly missed by my nieces and nephews as she tends them quite a bit and they just love Nanny T. My niece Shaylie wrote her a sweet card saying she counted down the days until she returned and cried and cried when she left. Just a tender moment for my mum and Shay when they finally did see each other. We miss her already and it seems strange to be out and about without her company. I love you mum!!
Here are some pics of us at the airport waiting for mum to arrive. She missed her connecting flight which we didn't find out until a freak out session by me, having her paged for 30 minutes and asking about 10 different times at baggage claim, but she got in 5 hours later and all was well. Well, she wasn't well, had a sinus infection which robbed her of her voice for almost a week...
July...
We has a pretty quiet 4th of July here but had a busy 24th of July!! We went to Delta where both of Cory's grandparents live and alot of his aunts and uncles. We always have such a fun time down in Utah and Cade has a blast at the parade...

Counting down...
Can I just say my mummy bear arrives in 9 DAYS!! I just can't put into words my excitement. She actually leaves Australia today and is in England for a week doing some family history and then is on to us here! Too exciting!!
We are off to Utah to do some visiting with family, meet our new nephew Jacob and just have a fun time with the relatives. We are also excited to celebrate the 24th Utah style.

New Do...
I have been attempting to grow my hair since the beginning of the year pretty much and got to the "I am going to chop all my hair off" stage because it was at that ugly length and I had grown alot of my color out and therefore alot of the texture and lustre so I decided to (well with Alicia's help) cut my layers to my shortest layer and make it a little easier and nicer when growing it out. My hair was 'trained' to flip out and it would annoy me a bit so I got a cut that can do both!! Hooray for Alicia my wonderful friend and hairdresser...

Never Say Never...
Cade woke up with a fever of almost 103 yesterday so I took him to the Doctor and it turned out to be a bit of a sore throat. We hung about home, dosed him up, went for some walks and he so badly wanted to play so I let him have a play out on the lawn for a little bit and then he was just so tired, considering he hadn't napped all day this was not a surprise that he got tired at 5pm and fell asleep for about an hour. Last night he went to bed pretty well but woke 4 times before 1:30am, each time soaking wet with sweat, poor little man.
This morning he woke bright and early and had no fever, was doing good. But once again WOULD NOT take a nap. He was tired from about 10:30am on but finally at noon I had fed him and told him in no uncertain terms that it WAS nap time. Shyeah right, this is a stubborn Anderson boy I am dealing with! He has always taken naps really well, and once down sleeps for a good 2-3 hours, so this no nap business was not working in my world. I let him cry it out for about 15 minutes and he was just sobbing. I went to get him and usually when he is picked up he is instantly quiet and consoled, well not today. HE WAS A NIGHTMARE! Carrying on crying, totally inconsolable. He cried for about 20 minutes and I was so done! Cory was due home for lunch at any time so I called him and asked to make it snappy... None of my mummy tricks were working and thought 'fresh hands' would do a world of good. (Fresh hands is something Cory and I have called it when Cade, even as new born got a little fussy and would completely settle with the other person). Well the fresh hands worked... for about 20 minutes until Daddy attempted to put little man down for a nap and oh my goodness, NIGHTMARE! I ended up taking Cade to the car and driving until he fell asleep... now this is where my title comes in... I swore I would NEVER do this, console a child by driving around endlessly... well NEVER SAY NEVER!! He fell asleep less than 5 minutes into the drive and was so zonked out he was laying on the arm rest of his car seat! Was cute... now that he was asleep... As soon as we got home a truck pulled up and woke Cade ARGH!! He started back up again and thankfully was happier than previously. Cory amused him in order to give me a break and I took a much needed nap. He still hasn't napped, not more than 20 minutes all day and I have so missed him napping, he is so much happier for it and so am I. Lets hope this is just illness related and that he isn't giving up naps. Oh I do not look forward to that day!!

Cousin Fun
When Christian and Andrew came for the day it was all fun and games for these 3 boys. Cade was so happy to have his cousins to play with.
Sunday Was A Special Day...
It was Jesse's baptism today and it was really nice. Chad and Joan (Cory's parents) came around lunch time and we had a nice lunch with them and Christian and Andrew (Cory's nephews who are having a 'holiday' at his parents), Jesse and Alisa. Cade was TOTALLY in his element. Loved having his cousins there and Grammy and Grandpa. I really enjoyed the day. Then it was off to church, Jesse is in Ridgeview, our old ward so it was nice to go support him and see all those familiar faces. Actually there was not a lot of people there at all, did not even feel like the Ridgeview I knew. Then we came home to visit before we headed back to the church for Jesse's baptism. It was a really good turn out and I was so thankful for the support of the ward, what a blessing to Jesse! His parents were also there to support him and it was a surprise as they were actually meant to be out of town. Another blessing of the day!
