Lately...

We at the Anderson house have been keeping busy.

The boys and I have been enjoying tending this lovely little lady... and will be sad when her mommy finishes her class and we no longer get to have her twice a week. She really is a good little girl, so easy and content.
Kinley...we love you.

The boys and I made a trip to Aunt Taryn and Uncle Marks in Utah to visit and that was so fun. I had laryngitis the whole time which was annoying but the boys had fun playing outside and Cade learnt to ride a bike. It was a great visit and it was hard to leave. Good thing we had Daddy to come home to our we might have stayed. I love the area they live and while riding bikes with Taryn one afternoon, found a dream house for sale that I pined after.

Our 4th was spent with Cory's family in Colorado and it was so nice to be there. We always enjoy our stays and once again the boys loved playing all day outside with their cousins. We went to fireworks at a barn the stake president built and after the rain storms they finally had a show. It was good company and great that we didn't get wet.

This week I have felt the need to clean, clean and get organized so that is what I have been up to. We are still waiting, waiting on the when and where of our relocation. Annoying - Yes, Anything we can do about it - No. I just pray it is somewhere close to a temple, family friendly with things to do with children particularly in both hot and cold weather, we can find something VERY afforable in good time and that they have great doctors for the kids.

I have been missing Australia lately. I think because there has been some things going on, both good and bad that I wish I was there for, to give excited cuddles and to help out. I always say, "Wish I could click my heels and come for a visit" and be back and forth with ease, but that is not the case unfortunately.

We have plans for a great weekend and that will take our mind off the wishing and waiting.

Our Sping Break

Our little family has never taken any time to do something over Spring Break and considering this is most likely our last 'Spring Break' with Cory graduating we thought we would make the most of it.

We didn't know if we would make it as Cade was sick at the start of the week and Ethan was a P.I.L.L. each night and we thought he might have had a little something too. By Wednesday afternoon the boys seemed good so we went ahead and left on Thursday morning.

Thursday we went the Denver Zoo and the boys just loved it! Cade is huge into animals and we thought Ethan would at least like the ride in the stroller and being outdoors on such a nice day. It was beautiful weather that day. We were so surprised at how much Ethan enjoyed himself. He just loved it. He would point out when he saw animals and was way more enthusiastic than I thought he would be. Cade liked the elephants playing with a hanging ball and the giraffes and bears. The tapir put on a good show and was swimming about which was fun to watch.

Friday, the weather was terrible and blowy. It literally snowed all day. We met up with out friends and went to the Aquarium. It was fun. My personal favorites were the Otters and the Sting Rays. Cade liked the sword balloon and embossed shark coin he got he tells me. But he seemed to enjoy patting the swimming sting rays too. We went and ate yummy food together at The Cheesecake Factory downtown which was soooo good.

We stayed in Loveland Friday night and just enjoyed the hotel, swimming and playing and relaxing after driving in yucky weather. Saturday we met up with our friends again and shopped and ate and just had a good time.

If you ask Cade about the things he liked best he will tell you about all the activities of the weekend and I am glad he seemed to enjoy it all. I did too!

ARGH... control I do not have

Well... Ethan and Cade both came down with runny noses yesterday and I simply thought it was allergies seeing as we have been in and out of the house, between hot and cold etc but last night was AWFUL. Ethan was miserable with his sinuses and couldn't seem to breath properly. I got up to him twice an hour until 4am and then I was just exhausted and Cory took over. I took them to the doctor this afternoon and Cade simply has a bit of a cold but poor Ethan has a double ear infection! Right in time for a HUGE flight too. My poor baby. He is choking all the time on his drainage, has a runny nose and weepy eyes, a fever and all this with a double ear infection! Poor darling boy.
We have him on antibiotics and will have a quick follow up on Thursday to see how he is doing and if the doctor isn't happy with how he is doing, will give him a stronger antibiotic. He was due for his 4 month shots but we are delaying them until he is healthier, but the doctor wants these before we fly out so we'll see how quickly he heals.
I am a huge worrier, and I try to control as much as I can but this is something I obviously could not predict or control so now the worrying has set in. I worry about his little ears on the plane, the fact that we are travelling for 24 hours and 17 of these are in flight. I just hope and pray that he will be so much better before then and that we can get both our boys healthy and well and that they stay that way!!

Things Happening...

Big things have been happening this last month. We had a great 4th with Cory's family in Colorado. Jesse (Cory's brother in law) went through the Temple. We have spent the last few days in Utah. The 24th we spent at the Hinckley parade and visiting with the extended family.... and yesterday Jesse and Alisa were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple! YAY!!
We are so proud of them and it was a beautiful ceremony. We then made our way back to Taryn's where we were staying, for a luncheon for Jesse and Alisa. It was so nice to visit with all the extended family there. We are home safe and sound after some sleepless nights, a kidney stone attack ala Cory and me feeling 'not so hot' last night and part of the day today. Ethan and Cade were fantastic travellers. Ethan was an AWFUL sleeper the first 2 nights but did great last night. Cade didn't get naps both days so slept like an absolute champ each night. They are both sound alseep and I have pretty much unpacked everything.... now for the MOUNDS of washing.

This week I am busy packing, packing, packing and preparing frozen meals for a lovely hubby that is home bound while I am lucky enough to be holidaying in Australia. I am stressed to say the least, about the flight and travel with 2 little ones on my own but I hope the stress is undue and that all goes oh so smoothly!!
